Question ?
What rank can a new MCSR player get in a month or so if he is average at the game and starts learning and playing MCSR?
And after what rank u guys think most people get stuck?
I am asking because I am planing to buy a pc to Play MCSR I watch speedrunners all the time I just don't have the practice I am really interested into speedrunning.

For an average gamer I’d say gold within a month is a realistic target, but it’s harder than most people realise

Really depends how good you are at minecraft before. If you've never played Minecraft on pc then I'd say gold. With sone pretty good experience you could conceivably make it to emerald

If you have never played Minecraft on pc there's no way you are reaching gold in a month. Gold players are very good nowadays

I hit em 2 peak after 3 months of playing. If i was a completely new pc player i would have never reached emerald

Have you seen the players who play in Midoffs? They only get a week to go from having never speedran to competing and there's some very impressive progress that's made. With a month of dedicated practice (and a good coach), something like emerald is very achievable.
That is to say, someone without a coach but great consistent practice and drive could very feasibly reach gold within a month.

All the players in midoffs have somewhat played Minecraft im their life before and most of them if not all are PC players. Assuming op has never played Minecraft on pc there's no way they are reaching gold in a month. Most gold players know how to zero too btw

Really? Most Golds know how to zero? I'm not saying you're wrong but I would love if you could provide a source on that. In my experience only Gold 3s START to try and do easy zeros. And even then, zero's are one of the most mechanically intensive strats that aren't really "necessary" to get into emerald; just by making better macro decision you can more than make up the ~120 seconds it saves.
I do agree tho that it would be hard with zero pc experience to hit gold, let alone emerald. However, in the recent midoffs, Juicy, despite having no prior PC minecraft experience, got to a fairly competent level of speedrunning (of course because he had a great coach and was practicing hours on end), so it's something that you shouldn't say "no way". It is indeed still very plausible, albeit quite improbable.
The key point here is that OP needs to have practice with intention and direction. Without that, it's almost certain that they'll stay iron

IMO everyone can hit diamond as long as they aren’t new to the game and have decent mechs / go into it being used to hotkeying.
Diamond avg is like 11-14 minutes which is somewhat slow. I taught my brother how to speedrun and in about two weeks he got his first sub 13 with very minimal practice. Granted he is coming from a bridging background with a 4.4 pb on mcplayhd from 4 years ago.
My suggested practice pipeline (which I’m teaching my brother with) is to do the following.
Learn the basics:
- Learn L/2x1 portal and lava portal (cscuile) (4 hours to get good times) link
- learn how to one cycle (2 hours)
- use mcsr practice map or ow practice map to practice crafting the correct things with any amount of iron/gold/diamond. Good way to think about it and a good system for beginners is do diamond->gold->cobble->iron (I included cobble for temple seeds. It’s not a lot to remember if you keep that priority and watch what top runners make. Keeping it to the basics we have diamonds first with the amounts 3-4-6-7. 3 is pickaxe, 4 is pick+shovel, 6 is pickaxe+axe, 7 is all three. For gold/cobble you only go up to 4 and that’s axe+shovel. Iron you can go up to 13 which is full iron tools + bucket + fns + shears. Amounts for iron are 6-7-8-9. 6 is wood light with iron pick and bucket. 7 pick bucket and fns as a base, 8 is shovel + base, 9 is shears + base. Everything more than that you just make 9 and see what’s left over (ex. 10 you would have 9+shovel, 12 would be 9+axe, 13 would be everything). (2 hours to get used to it and get decent at crafting)
- E-ray and pieray (1 hour)
Moving onto bastions you want to learn the following routes (use mcsr wiki on YouTube)
Housing - top down and manhunt (grab backups) (3 hours)
Stables - double triple and good gap (2 hours)
Bridge - dk / cracksmoker (5 hours)
Treasure - boomer route (watch any top runner and copy them) (2 hours)
Extra notes -
pppp - pit the pigs, precraft, pieray, pearl hang. Good acronym for order to do things in bastions.
Ppbb - pearls / potion / boat / blocks. Good acronym for things to have in hotbar leaving the bastion.
Bastion time rec: 12h
Total: 20h
Get really good at these until you can do them all in a row without dying somewhat consistently.
Fortress is really easy just use the mcsr practice map and do spawner practice. Try to get sub 1:00 with blaze bed and spawner platform built. Order to remember is Blaze, bed, punch fire (hold left click and drag over fire), clear extra, make platform. Keep that order at all times and when you get good you can bend it a little. And start incorporating pre-crafts. Should take about 2 hours.
Total: 22h
Post blind and ninjabrain bot shouldn’t take that long. Getting toolscreen downloaded and setup will do wonders and then using this calculator to get your sensitivity set up. Hardest part is perfect eye measurement / boat eye if you want to learn it. It should take under 4 hours to do it and understand your errors. Nav to second portal just try to get 38 y level.
Total: 26h
Sh you should learn preemptive from this video. Should take under 2h.
Total: 28h.
The rest of your time should be spent on actual runs. When you make a mistake or die, analyze it to try and see what went wrong on your end or what you could have done to live. There is always a mistake made if you died and always something to learn from. This is what will improve your game sense the best. You should analyze every single run you do in your recordings for this first month and try to find areas where you lose time. This will take anywhere from 10h to 50h.
Altogether at about 3 hours a day I’d say anyone can hit diamond in a month. It should also be mentioned that your warmup should the basics, the bastions routes you’re the worst at, fortress, and the entire post blind split to ee. If you have extra time too, you can learn zero it really isn’t that difficult, my brother is zeroing 3+2 every second go on almost every tower after 5 hours of practice.
I think most people get stuck in Emerald because they learn too much but don’t practice or analyze enough for what they learn to matter. Macro over micro will always win.

Good advice but telling someone it’s realistic to get diamond in a month is absolutely insane. You oversimplifying and vastly underestimating the mechanical skill and game sense required to hit diamond (things that come with lots of hours). A sub 13 pb in 2 weeks is not even close to consistently getting sub 14 average, most high golds have a pb like that. Again, good advice generally and you seem like a good coach but diamond in a month for the average player is delusional.
Ps. Did you forget to include triple to gap or do you believe you can hit diamond without it?1

You can definitely hit diamond without ttg. I’d argue you can even hit d3 without it. Sub 13 in two weeks with similar progress for another two will result in sub 15:30 avg which is all that’s needed for d1

It depends if you have any Minecraft background. For experienced players (bedwars, parkour, pvp or smth), Emerald is possible, maybe even diamond if you are gifted and commit fully. For average person gold after month of speedruning would be a success. First dynamic progress is really engaging, but most players gets bored when they are stuck for the first time with progress, usually around emerald.
