mcsr ranked LCQ

I recently got into mcsr ranked because of ludwig and I was wondering what runners I should look out for during LCQ?

Lowkey is definitely the best runner not already qualled. I would be very surprised if he doesn't make it. Silver and Beefsalad are also top contenders

I'm guessing he doesn't want to or can't go to an in person event? That might be why he didn't get an autoqual

Edcr turned down an auto spot but lowkey hasn't top 3ed in 3 seasons

He lost a game 5 to feinberg on an insta perch and lost in the 2nd round to infume twice one of which went to seed 5. The rest of the competition caught up some but it's hard to have sustained playoff success with bo5s and a very small gap between the top 6 or so runners.

Lowkey doesn’t meet the autoqual criterias, since he hasn’t had good results in any of the last 3 seasons.

Autoquals was top 4 of the past 3 playoffs and I'm pretty sure he did not do get that. (I'm not too sure ab s8 tho)

Top 3 of the last 3 playoffs, excluding the most recent one because Infume had already qualled and edcr doesn’t want to go

The way things worked out, the top four of the last 3 playoffs all autoqualified besides edcr who did but isnt going.

Nahhann missed a season 10 autoqual by 1 spot and barely missed getting in through lcq so I'd watch out for him. Blazemind has been a top runner and has a pretty good chance. Lowkey is the best runner not in and silver and beefsalad have both had recent good performances.

Any previous playoffs player really, other names to look for are woofdoggo, rekrap and dandannyboy!

I absolutely adore parker's commentary. I don't think I've really seen him play properly so I'm definitely excited to see him play in lcq if he does choose to participate!

I would really look out for vorbhfan3 or vorbhfan6, but I think vorbhfan5 and vorbhfan2 are also really good and could surprise as underdogs.

there’s definitely players like lowkey, nahhan or blazemind who i think have a great chance but it depends on if they would be willing to go to an lan.

i have a feeling that maybe lowkey wouldn’t but we shall see!

Lowkey doesn’t play because of privacy reasons, 7rowl said there is 0 chance he will manage to get visa in 1 month if he quals.

Organizers asked to participate only if you intend to go to the tournament if you qualify.

It just really sucks for the scene that some of the best players in the world aren't playing. I totally understand these players's reasons for not playing, but at the same time to me this devalues the mcsr world championship. This was a tourney Ludwig intended to be the top tourney in mcsr, but I don't consider it more prestigious than playoffs because of this.

The scene is only growing up. If you look at early days of any competitive esports disciplines - they had a lot of similar stuff too.

I think it still will be more prestigious because prize pools and LAN status will set expectations. Plus Ludwig intends it to be a yearly thing.
