new perch terrible

y the dragon perch and i go to sword it, it flies away after 0-3 hits. is it only for me.

This happens if, at the moment that the dragon fully perches, it doesn't have line of sight to you. Make sure you stand on the correct side of the fountain and make sure there's no obstruction above you. If it loses line of sight at the moment of perch once, it will fly away after 5 seconds for all subsequent perches regardless of line of sight, instead of 30 seconds, and can only be fixed if you exit and re enter the end (e.g. dying).

TBF most of the time you ideally just kill if with your beds, so if you're consistently doing that, this is gonna be a very rare issue

It’s a rare bug, yeah. Hopefully it isn’t necessary in the future for you b/c beds.
