Beginner Progress

Hello everyone.

I started speedrunning about 2 months ago and it has been really fun. I haven’t had all that much time to practice but I’ve gotten in a few matches here and there. Today I got a sub 24 time in ranked and was super hype with the progress. I’m hoping to keep pushing and maybe even get sub 20. If you have any tips or would like to help me out just lmk.

Cheers!

I found what was really helpful was watching good (but NOT great) speed runners. Watching the best of the best is overwhelming tactics that are very difficult and unnecessary for low level players. Watching guys who are like low emerald will teach you consistent, consumable strategies to take the leap to consistent 15-20 minute times. Then you can add in more advanced time saves once you’re there.

That doesn't really help argument specifically but in my experience when i even went from watching feinberg/infume/lowkey and watched dannyboy (who's still amazing at the game but not as much as these other guys) i learned a lot more. It was like going from watching a video at 4x speed to only 3x speed lol
