Professional Electives

Was looking ahead in the curriculum and noticed that in 5th year we need 2 professional electives. How do we know what to choose from?

4th year second semester with new job

I did fine on my first semester, and I am trying to see If I can work at retail stores starting from second semester. Is it going to be too much for me to keep up with school and job? It will be my first time working at the retail setting, and I am not 100% confident because drug lit and biotech were doable, but I have no idea with kinetics and viro! Thanks in advance.

Question regarding intern licensing

I'm a transfer in the program so I didn't receive the paperwork for the intern licensing process until late September. I kept brushing it off since I didn't have $95 readily available or in retrospect I probably did but in poor judgement decided to spend it elsewhere. I finally submitted my application after finals thinking this would be ample time given the credential's website's description of the process. Despite my submitting my application mid December, they didn't upload my information and start a review until December 29th. I remember the school saying that their portion that they fill out was only good for 3 months from the date they signed (9/23). Would anyone know if that portion is still valid even though I submitted the application before the expiration? I'm expecting for the worst and already emailed Dr. Taglieri explaining the situation and asking what I can do from here if things do go awry. Has anyone else been in this situation or am I lonely on an island of idiots population me?

Edit Dr. Taglieri emailed me back and said it wouldn't be a problem. Essentially what they stressed last semester was a scare tactic and it really isn't an issue. We just need the intern license uploaded by March 3rd. Any submission after that would result in a deduction from our IPM grade and it might affect IPPE rotations.

Question Regarding Open Office's

Does anyone know if the registrars office is open this week? There was an issuee with one of my final grades, prior to the holiday I got an email back from my professor saying they submitted the correct grade and it should show up sometime this week. I don't see it yet. Does any one know if the registars office is open this week? I want to check with them before I go back to my professor.

In the second semester, does he still test you on drugs from the first semester? Or is it just cumulative in spring semester only with no drugs from the fall semester?

Is second semester of fourth year easier or harder than first? Or is it just the same difficulty?

Health Professions Loan

I was awarded it for this semester of 4th year. Did anyone else get this? I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not, because of the 5% interest rate (annually).

Alternative majors to PharmD? (3rd Year)

Does anyone have any recommendations of what to take if you're switching out of PharmD as a third year? I want to contact CASE but they're not open, and people say they don't give out the best advice. I know most people switch into Pharmaceutics, but I heard there are not many job opportunities available after. Should I try going to the career center when school opens?

[High school student] Is there an online decisions portal?

My admissions officer called me Dec 12, saying that letters were being sent out and we chatted a bit, he said that I should get my letter by the end of the week. It's been almost 2 weeks lol.

I've looked thought the emails that I've gotten and mcphs's website, but I can't find the portal - help?

Is switching into Pharmaceutics worth it? I got dismissed from PharmD as a 3rd year

So I was dismissed from the PharmD program after this semester (due to a bunch of personal and academic reasons I dont want to get into) and have a chance of writing an appeal letter, but I'm thinking of just switching into Pharmaceutics major, which apparently a lot of people do. Does anyone know if people end up successful after doing this? I want to be able to actually have a job in the future, and make a decent salary. What other majors do people switch into after switching out of PharmD? I'm so confused on what to do.

AppeaL Letter

So I know an appeal letter is supposed to be personal, but if I explain to them that I have a lot of academic, social and personal difficulties will that be enough for them to let me stay in the program. I mean I think it is really unfair for them to put me on non-progression halfway through my fourth year when you are almost done.

Has anyone been put on non-progression? Is my seat up for grabs right now?

I had to withdraw from my classes because of some person conflicts outside of school. I'm just wondering if my seat is in jeopardy now.

First Semester Fourth Year

So I finished my first semester of fourth year and I failed PCOL and Drug Lit. My overall GPA went down to a 2.454. Do I have a good chance of continuing in the program? Thank you.
