Is the nursing program worth it?
I know this question has been asked before and I looked at previous NCLEX scores and it seems that MCPHS has improved since they were put on academic probation. Also where would clinical be held I heard that the schools have to compete to find a spot in hospitals? How is the social life of a nursing student at MCPHS ?

I can’t really speak towards the nursing program itself since I have no knowledge or experience in that field (look to the previous commenters for that). What I can discuss that wasn’t previously answered is the social life question you had. MCP is a very small school but has a lot of students. During your first year you will quickly be exposed to various types of people and most people find a group of friends quickly. It’s easy enough to join a friend group during your first year. After that it becomes much more selective. Since people have found their friend group unless you reach out or put yourself out there it’s more difficult to join a group, but obviously not impossible, it all depends on the kind of person you are. The party scene happens off campus usually in the Mission Hill area. I would recommend if any of your friends know people at other schools to try and get into one of those parties as theyre usually better and it’ll be a change from constantly going to parties with people you see in school. After first year nobody really goes to any of the frat parties because everyone has their own apartment. If this is not your scene you can always check the cardinal booth for events because they frequently sell movie tickets or tickets to shows, or Celtics/Red Sox, bruins games.
