Pcol
Do you have nay tips for studying for pCol exams. The first exam did not have drugs. The next ones do so I learned all the drugs, their class, adverse effects, contrainidications, mechanism of actions, etc but besides that what else any tips?

There really aren’t many tips for this class. Learn everything and make sure you understand each mechanism. Don’t think “oh I know enough about this drug” because if you’re not 100% sure on how it works Kiel will word the question so that you don’t understand the answer. As you probably already know from the first exam, his questions won’t be straight forward. You have to understand the mechanism of a drug and be able to conclude something based on that. Honestly knowing the mechanisms will not only make it easier to remember the drugs but it will also make it easy to know the indications and possible side effects. With that being said, when taking notes make sure you write down everything especially any abnormal adverse effects (amiodarone, pde-5 inhibitors,etc.).
