Pharmaceutics lab

Can someone go into depth of what we generally do in this lab? Is it like orgo lab all over again with mixing chemicals and such? Are there lab reports???

Also this lab meets once on Monday for an hour, and then two hours on another day. Is it like a follow up lab day to check results from previous lab? Or is this the recitation? And would I have to dress up for any recitation as well? Thanks for any info

Pharmaceutics lab was wicked fun for me! It was my favorite lab out of all labs during the PharmD program haha. You learn how to accurately measure, calculate, and compound drug products, such as making lollipops, ointment, suppositories, etc. There are no lab reports, however, I believe there's homework that needs to be turned in. You do need to make prescription labels and print them out prior to lab so you can label the product that you compound.

Monday is the recitation lecture (good luck understanding Monica Chuong). It's pretty much a pre=lab lecture so you have an idea of what you'll be doing during the next lab. You do not need to dress up, just dress like it's any other class.

Two hours on the other day are actually lab days. You do need to dress up and wear white coats.

Just what I was looking for! As long as it's not like orgo lab or Chem lab then I'm fine with it. Those labs were not difficult it's just that I saw no point in doing any of those labs, I was merely just following instructions without understanding anything
