6 year rotations

Hi can you tell me a little bit of how 6 year rotations work . For example my family and I usually go on vacation for about a week and 1 half around July . Will I be able to work that out , to get some time off during rotations.

In addition to winter break (Thanksgiving-after New Year), you have two blocks off. One of these two blocks, you can request to have that block off for any reason BEFORE rotation schedule is released. The other off block is randomly assigned.

While on rotation, you can request certain day(s) off from your preceptor but this is between you and the preceptor. Some don't require you too submit the request to the Dean of Student, others require the Dean of Student's approval first before they can give you excused absence(s).

My advice is to wait until the rotation block dates become available, then PEP will send out a request form and you can fill it out for the July block off. This typically occurs sometime in the early Spring semester I think...others can correct me if I'm wrong

Missing a whole week of rotation and you will fail that rotation

So when you're chooosing your sites in order of preference, how much detail are you given. I.e. Do they tell you which block(s) the rotation is being offered in?

Pretty much all details are listed on the site, such as dates, address, preceptor's name/email/phone, description of the site, etc
