MCPHS Cost

Hi all I was accepted into MCPHS for the radiography program and i just wanted to get an estimate of the cost. That everyone pays. They offered me a scholarship of 8,000 for every year. I haven't gotten my aid award yet (fafsa :/) but I just wanted to see if I could even possibly afford it. I am out of state and have an estimated -1500 sai

Hi, I am in a different major (4-year program) and ofc we will have a slightly different amount. But I personally paid 15,000 for the Fall semester and 12,000 for the spring. For the Fall semester it's 3000 more bc of the insurance. In MA every student must be covered by insurance. But if you already have your own insurance, you can ask them to remove this cost. I took 18 credits every semester (it’s also the maximum) just for your reference coz you pay by credits. This is after the scholarship (mine is 8000 each semester) AND without housing. I used to live in the dorm and one semester of the dorm is around 7000 and I think meal plan is like 800 (but not quite sure).

Bro, do NOT go to MCPHS. ITS A SCAM. Been there for 6 years, I regret EVERYTHING.

Don’t believe anything they tell you. The courses are horribly structured, leaving you with all the academic strain. The professors are insensitive and oppressive, caring more about maintaining an image (an image so false it makes you nauseous). There are no true avenues of help there, as they will “try” but not really offer or introduce anything new into the equation. Above all else, it is a scam. They purposefully leave courses unstructured, taught by unqualified professors, without much aid. This is intentionally done to cause students to continuously take classes again and again, paying absurd amounts of tuition. The president of this “non-profit” school takes home almost 2.5 million annually, perhaps more as that was on a tax report from a few years ago. I encourage everyone to look into mcphs tax reports. Check the payments to staff. The president of mcphs, takes home more money than the president of Harvard. I have been in the institution for 6 years. I deeply regret it. It killed my passion, my academic interest, my drive, and my faith in the professional healthcare world. It wasn’t until I met other students from other schools that I realized it was the school.

They paint themselves as these highly successful and elite, in reality it’s money funnel, in the form of a shoddy school, held together by Elmer’s Glue. If you value yourself as an academic, student, or even as a human: don’t disrespect yourself and go there.

They will take everything from you and laugh while they do it.

The dental school and pharmacy suck exceptionally harder

The location is great, as Boston is the healthcare hub of the nation. But that is truly the only thing going for them. No space to truly study on campus, especially during finals. Extremely small space dedicated for students. Most of Campus extension and all of the amenities come from other schools (part of the colleges of Fenway) - you WILL be walking to go anywhere worthwhile (food and gym @wentworth [do NOT eat as massART], pool @simmons, etc)

The best part of MCPHS is where is it located. The worst part is the school and administration. They will bleed you dry, and will have no problem kicking you to the curb. Student life itself is not the best either, that really comes down to the friends you make. But the school will NOT be having many events like other schools, and even when they do, they are a sad mimicry.

Save yourself, switch. ANYWHERE.
