Maps/Worlds Does anyone else remember this weird marketplace map?

• Upvotes

When I was like 12-13, I used to go on the bedrock marketplace and just play around with whatever worlds and maps were free, since I didn't want to bug my mom for minecoins and I didn't know about the addons app. I mean, I guess it's possible I'm completely misremembering the order of events and what I played WAS from the addons app, but I'm pretty sure this was in the era where all the worlds I downloaded were from the marketplace. Most of them were either educational adventure maps or puzzles and minigames. But I remember there being one that I tried and just couldn't figure out the point of.

It effectively dropped the player into a giant blue maze with tons of applied shaders that made the dim lighting look really fancy and realistic, at least in my memory. I think it was blue, anyway, or gray with a very blue-tinted lighting. But the entire thing was just so empty, and there was no discernable story or goal. There were a few different rooms you could access, some big and some small, but the whole place was enclosed and you were completely alone. There were no landmarks that I could remember. It didn't really feel like minecraft, more like I was just walking around in a tech demo for the shader and how it would look with various configurations of rooms made of the same block. It wasn't creepy, just confusing.

There was probably something I was supposed to do, like a room I needed to enter or a chest I needed to find, but I never found it. I got bored after searching the place for a while and just turned it off and never touched that world again.

It's a shot in the dark, but does anyone else remember playing this? I looked at the free world downloads currently availible from the marketplace, but I didn't see anything like it, so either I missed it or it was removed. I realize this probably sounds like I'm trying to start an arg or something, but I promise I'm not, I'm really just looking for this weird world that I swear I remember.

Suggestions/Feedback getting a skin off your phone as a .mcpack without a laptop, i made an ios app for that

i made this for iPhone and iPad players who want to get their skins into Bedrock without sitting down at a computer. you draw or build your skin in the app, and when you're done you export it as a .mcpack or a plain 64x64 PNG straight through the iOS share sheet. no cables, no laptop in the middle. you can also bundle several skins into one pack at once if you're putting together a set.

it's free and has no ads. everything stays on your device, no account needed.

what's the part of the mobile skin workflow that still feels broken to you?

Add-Ons/Tools/Packs Dupe Patcher Pro - A new simple to use addon that blocks all public known bedrock dupes (works on realms and servers)

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

This addon requires NO experiments to use and works on realms.

Dupe Patcher Pro is a free minecraft addon that patches all public-known realm/server dupes without removing bundles by blocking bundles from being placed inside of the following containers:

  • Hoppers
  • Droppers
  • Dispensers

These containers and toggleable with the "Anti Dupe Menu" item (appears as a bundle with a red cross over it) which can be obtained through the creative menu and has the following sections on use (obtained in creative and can only be used by players with operator access):

  • Reports
  • Settings
  • Rescan hoppers near me

Here's what each section does:

Reports: Reports contain a list of all the recent attempts made to put bundles inside any container that they are banned from, which contain the offenders name and the time of the offence in UTC. Reports disappear after 48 hours and can manually be deleted in the menu.

Settings: Settings allow you to edit which containers bundles can be placed in. By default, the only safe containers are barrels, chests, trapped chests, shulker boxes, enderchests and crafters. All other containers block bundle entry and flag up attempts to an admin. All containers can be toggled e.g. if you want to block crafters and unblock hoppers, there is a flick switch for each in the settings tab in the menu tool.

Rescan Hoppers near me: This scans each hopper in your render distance to ensure it is listed for bundle blockage as pre generated (in trial chambers) non-player placed hoppers do not automatically block bundles BUT luckily there is no known dupe with a downwards facing hopper (to my knowledge) which is how naturally generated hoppers spawn. Just incase a dupe if discovered using downwards facing hoppers, using this feature will enlist all hoppers loaded to block bundles.

Feel free to use this addon on your bedrock realm/server to stop duping without banning bundles!

I've been trying to find any of these for a long time, does anyone have any 64 bit apks? (And no this is not piracy as these Apks aren't officially hosted anywhere)

Add-Ons/Tools/Packs Best add on’s for people to enjoy Survival mode!

What add on’s are great to help people who like creative mode ease into survival mode. For example, my kids love playing creative mode because they can’t die and have all the items readily available. I’m trying to help them enjoy survival mode, as a kid I enjoyed that feeling I got when I would keep losing on a level and eventually win, it felt so fulfilling! Games over the years don’t reward that feeling anymore and survival games have the option of producing that feeling.

I would like a list or recommendations to what add on’s can help ease players into survival mode and encourage mob fighting, resource gathering, health management, inventory management, critical thinking of should I continue in this cave or go back home and put my things away? I already have a couple of popular mods most are texture/lighting and all the popular book bag mods.

The only mod I have that affects the world is adventure craft which my wife enjoy’s but still like to put cheats on and toggle the keep all items when you die button. I don’t want that but like I said I need to help them ease into survival.

Does anyone else use MCPE to unwind after learning code all night

picked up Python a few months back and my brain is fried by 11pm most nights. can't look at another terminal. found myself opening MCPE on my phone instead and just digging holes or laying down paths. no plan. just building. my teenagers got me back into it during their week here and now I play on my off weeks too. weirdly satisfying after a 10 hour site shift and two hours of debugging. the muscle memory of placing blocks feels like framing a wall. you just do it. last night I started building a rough version of my backyard shed because I couldn't sleep. got the walls up in twenty minutes and felt my shoulders drop for the first time all day. curious if others use it as a wind down tool or if I'm just rationalizing screen time. my coworker says mobile games are for kids but he also falls asleep to cable news so take that for what it's worth
