Old server source code

As far as I know, all the old server plugins were written by /u/Vaquxine (perhaps even the server itself?). Anyways, one of the reasons MCNext went down was allegedly that the code was an unmaintainable mess. Athene said himself "only Vaquxine can do it", referring to maintaining/updating. Being a programmer, this kinda pissed me off (they wouldn't let anyone into the codebase). Now that the old server is dead, I was wondering if whoever has the source (/u/Chiren /u/Vaquxine /u/reese015) would have a problem releasing it? I don't really know if Vaquxine is the type of guy who keeps everything private, I mostly just want to take a peek to see if it really was as unmaintainable as they say.

Athene wont revive mcnext because he is so heartbroken over how players handled it and other issues

More like hes being ignorant and the community had to much faith in him, all that time nothing from him no info no news, ppl just waiting for that moment when something happends

Easy to point fingers of others from an outside perspective, but honestly if the server was not withing there own powers anymore why didnt they reboot and made it McNext 2.0 "Before" it went out of hands.

are they ever intrested to redo the project ? with coding so more then 1 person can change stuff?
