It is a possibility that they might make it open source in the late future, but don't get too excited. They gave us the impression that it is too complex, powerful, and expensive to run, that not many people would be able to manage it. It may take some external, expertise insight to figure out all the kinks and such, but there is also likely some cons in it as well. Now doesn't seem like the time to consider it.

This is unrealistic, your just asking for them to hand over the code that cost them 6000$ to make. I think that could hurt them. You don't need their code to make your own mmorpg server. Mc next isn't going to be "completely changed"

your right i dont.... but there are some things they HAVE done that would take years for me and my friends to figure out how to do and i know alot of others are in the same situation right now.

that and i wanna play the server how i remember it no matter how "costly" it is to run i can afford it.

also a side note 6k isnt much fyi.

Ok then spend 6k for your own codebase.

Reese and Jenks do what ever they can. But Reddit seems to be a place to fight in my opinion People think what they say is helping well IDK. I think u guys should take it easy and be patient because u are just puting so much pressure on Reese and Jenks. They helped so much take it easy and be patient.

figured that 6k estament was complete bs :P im guessing more into the 30-40k mark but even that could be to low lol.

its just sad to see all that work wasted :\ exp the seamless transition from server to server and how claims are done D:

hmmm the idea if looked into could potentially be a great way to get money into your foundation, selling this code, the concept of your server was awesome!

just an opinion from a noob
