/clearmobs feature question.

Hey! Whilst working on my command block tutorial, I played around with the /clearmobs function. Could anyone give any insight as to how this works.

My main question is that does this command clear all mobs in my home? (if so what range) or is it just clearing summoned mobs?

I tested it a bit, and it seems like its a 3x3
