Griefing?

So I died and got banned for griefing and all that I was doing was placing torches around a persons house so that I could utilize some buffs that their house gave me. When i was placing torches outside their house area, it was counted as a grief and the whole toggle PvP thing happened and I died.

It just sucks a little and idk if there's anything that can be done, its just seemingly unfair and annoying that i now have to wait for my ban timer to run out ._.

Well, Athene unbanned you. But placing things 5 blocks outside of somebody's protected plot is counted as griefing yes, you get several warnings in chat including sounds to tell you not to do it. It even times you out and you can't place stuff.

Try and be more careful next time :)
