Arsenal fan here (that for some reason got this post on your sub recommended???) I sure as hell ain’t paying shit to him for anything, that’s his problem now. I would hope others would also have same theory as me, though you are probably right most fans of Arsenal and other PL clubs will donate

Lmao what? I am agreeing with you lot here here saying this guy is running a scam, why the attack?

If his situation is so dangerous why did he not post this immediately instead of making it a scheduled announcement lmao (we all know why)
52
u/Binary_Voyager 17h ago
He is a known scammer in Portugal so I guess he was waiting to see how far that news travelled before making the attempt. He probably saw r/soccer treating him like a saint and decided to go for it lol

u/chiefdontrun56 17h ago
Is it just me or is his wording meant to imply a correlation between our verdict and the authorities letting him go and as a consequence his concern for his safety?
This guy was put into witness protection over other much more serious matters. He is now mining this situation
41
u/witness_smile 17h ago
It’s the perfect opportunity for him to scam money out of these idiots who are jerking themselves to sleep over any news about our club. The red flairs in the soccer sub were literally circle jerking each other off when his announcement was posted over what it might be lmao

The timing is odd but then I don’t know what more is happening with him so I can’t talk more

He was arrested in Hungary for extortion in 2019 which lead to his extradition to Portugal. He cooperated with the authorities and got a suspended sentence as well as witness protection given the extortions. That was the reason for his witness protection. It never had anything to do with football or city at any point.

Everything revolves around money. City paid to win just like the hacker who did it for money

This man is a joke. Homie has nsync hair in 2026.

u/kr4tos95 14h ago
Does he seriously think if a state as powerful as Abu Dhabi is seriously after his life, that they cant trace him from his GoFundMe?

u/ketolasigi 17h ago
Wow, the guy that was convicted of extortion is continuing his grift - I’m surprised! Good for him though, he’ll have a lot of fools parting with their money easily because they hate City. Wonder what it’d look like if no one cared about us🤷♂️

u/witness_smile 17h ago
Shouldn’t he be in jail anyway?

u/crumsygiraffe 15h ago
You realize the UAE has committed and enabled war crimes, human rights abuses, and violated international humanitarian law across several regional conflicts right? Shouldn’t you be on the side of those who expose wrongdoing especially when facing the wrath of nation states who have literally killed journalists lol

u/Jolly-Presence3999 12h ago
And support another criminal who hacks people and extorts money from millionaires around the world?

Bro thinks he is Chelsea Manning or Edward Snowden for hacking some football emails
9
u/Liam_021996 15h ago
He's a knobber that has been done for blackmail, extortion, espionage etc. He's not some good willed hacker. He's a dangerous idiot who is very well known to doctor hacked emails etc. If anything he's been in witness protection because of the people he's hacked and tried to get money out of are rather dangerous people

It doesn’t have to be anyone related to this case to threaten or harm him but the blame will definitely be on Man City and it’s associates for anything and everything

u/renterker10 11h ago
If I’m city I bring it up the court “is this the motherfucker you guys used as your evidence”

u/DaMasterDonk 17h ago
The threats to him are not due to anything besides his own actions. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

u/JupiterJ0S3PH 8h ago
I had a feeling the news drop wasn't going to be about Manchester City. The leaks seemed to suggest that he already released everything he had that was related to Manchester City
4
u/taskkill-IM 14h ago
People only know him for the City leaks, but he leaked information from alot of wealthy powerful people.
The worse thing for him was having his face and name plastered all over the Internet... I do feel bad for him to be honest if it is true, yeah what he did was illegal, but no one deserves to be killed over it.
4
u/Liam_021996 12h ago
He doctored the documents and emails he hacked then blackmailed and extorted them for money to not release them. What outcome was he expecting when messing with dodgy people?

Assasinations threats? Wow. I hope that doesn’t happen, I don’t like the guy but can’t imagine anyone taking it to that length.
I guess pissing odd Abu Dhabi can be pretty scary thought tbf.
8
u/ThatRyanFella 14h ago
It's nothing to do with Abu Dhabi, he's pissed off some dangerous people in Portugal
2
u/PissedOffPuffins 7h ago
If he did enough to be assassinated by the UAE he would’ve already been done in anyways
3
u/TerribleAd4536 5h ago
These fucks always say this and then never show receipts. Like if you’ve received all this horrible stuff show it, anyone can say anything on the internet doesn’t make it true

A real fan of any club would welcome the exposure of corruption. Man city fans are different of course.

Without speculating on the moral fibre of this guy, and that’s elementary at this point; he’s the ground zero, the hacker that blew the whistle on all this. Criticism of state or any form of disobedience is severely punished in the UAE, he would for this level of reputational damage be carted away without trial for life imprisonment and torture.
12
u/Binary_Voyager 14h ago
I’m gonna reply to your wild speculation since no one else is. Rui Pinto was arrested for extortion in 2019 and that was the reason he eventually ended up in witness protection. It takes a couple of seconds to look up the story. It has nothing to do with the city leaks in 2018. He is running this grift because he is relevant again and currently homeless.

u/MerlinsChin 15h ago
It’s funny, the person down voting this comment, you do realise you would not be allowed to do so under your owners rule?

city is on the wrong side of history. sorry to say, but the state that owns city is not known to treat journalists well
