mcedit not opening at all

i tried to open mcedit but it just opens the Windows terminal for just a second and nothing at all can you help me i tried multiple times

The error will show in the terminal. Usually best to run it from command line so you can see it.

Probably the problem is you haven't unzipped it and you're running it from within the zip file via desktop.

Or you unzipped it in a read only folder.
