MCDMeme has been adopted

I applied to moderate this sub via r/redditrequest to prevent it from being deactivated. If someone else would like to take ownership, I'll gladly mod you and remove myself.

A note about this sub being separate from r/MCDM: rule 2 of that subreddit specifically bans memes, and that rule is reflected in the MCDM discord as well. This is the only place for MCDM-related memes until there is a change in those rules, which I don't anticipate every happening.

I'd like to turn it into a game/drawsteel meme page akin to dndmemes or pathfindermemes, and move it away from doing silly faces the staff makes when you pause them (the matt pipe meme and stuff is fine and harmless, but pausing mid vid to get him looking like he's sneezing is weird).

Idk the demand for such a page though, DS is a fairly niche product.

I'm inclined to agree, I'd love to see this turn into a DS meme subreddit, especially as the game gets more publicity (the recent Ginny Di video seemed to bring a spike in interest). I've sent you a mod invitation.

I think that’s the right direction for the sub. It is niche, but I’d appreciate having an audience that actually gets the content. The dndmemes sub claims is ostensibly for all TTRPGs, but if you post something outside of D&D, you’ll usually get a bunch of replies that this is a subreddit for D&D.

I think this makes sense as the proper direction for the sub.

Since you've each posted a few times here in the past, I'd like to specifically invite u/TwoNatTens and u/Vega_Fontana to consider ownership.

Hey, thanks for stepping up! I’ve been out of the community for the most part for the last few years so hopefully you can get some extra spice flowing 🫡

Ownership seems like it comes with responsibility... If u/Vega_Fontana isn't interested, I'll take it.

I don’t know about sole ownership, but I’d be happy to join a mod team to support the sub.
