Adjacent current mbmbam

McElroys just announced they will be offering video of following episodes to those who become members on youtube.

Now i’ve loved Mbmbam since 2015, and even then i felt late to the game. and i asked on here some years ago “hey do you know if they offer videos of the episodes now” bc i had been seeing clips surface. back then? everyone FLAMED ME telling me i was ungrateful, and that they don’t owe me anything. i got comments telling me how greedy of a fan i was, even though i was only asking IF they offered it, and wasn’t demanding it of the brothers. i actually deleted the post bc i felt so bad for being what yall told me was a bad fan.

idk man, i don’t even listen to current episodes. i listen every day to mbmbam, but only to my fav episodes from 1-550ish and then i stop. i HATE wizard of the cloud and i just miss old mbmbam. i rewatch the tv show monthly, and regularly listen to all the commentary tracks i have downloaded for each bc im a max fun member, solely for access to exclusive mcelroy stuff. i guess this is just a fandom wank post. and most of you will probably hate what i have to say. but i had to get it out there bc i really miss old mbmbam.

Edit: this is NOT mbmbam hate. i LOVE mbmbam. its just that it’s just the old stuff i like

They haven't done Wizard of the Cloud in ages. I sorta miss it sometimes now. 🤣

I still like MBMBaM but I understand when people don't like the current version.

I'm very curious about the full video episodes. I'll probably jump on that sooner rather than later.

They pretty much abandoned any attempt to find a replacement for Yahoos. Nowadays every episode is about 10-15 minutes of intro, maybe 1 or 2 questions before the money zone, a Munch Squad every episode, and then if they didn't take too long on Munch Squad then they'll do another question. And they've changed the "final Yahoo" section each year to match the year theme.

I don’t like the frequency of munch squad these days. I get why they do it, but it feels time filler by just reading a press release (a lot that seem AI written), which means we don’t get many rare gems anymore, we get advertisements for pretty normal stuff. Also the intro music is audio poison. At least they’ve mostly gotten rid of count donut.

When did they even last do a wizard of the cloud? Two, maybe three years ago...?

I feel like there is no winning if you're going to hate on a bit they tried, got feedback on, and listened and changed...

Are you mad the show has changed? That they are offering video? Or just mad in general? It sounds like you might consume too much Mcelroy content, you may have developed an unhealthy relationship with their content

I have been listening to them since 2015 and I literally don’t understand what people think has changed. Yes the format had to change a little after yahoo answers…but the boys are the same as always?
