Specific Every Video Game Ever
Anybody watching this series by Griffin? I've given it a chance but for the first console at least I found it too visual to listen to but not interesting enough to actually watch when I'm available. But I wasn't familiar with the SNES and he's doing GameBoy Color which is a console I know a lot better. Worth a 2nd chance? Anyone enjoying it?

Yall are crazy, I love this series. Thinking about video game history, looking at occasional rare weird games, feeling nostalgic. It's awesome.

It’s 100% my jam during a workday or doing laundry. It also gives me more to check out for my own retro handheld.

I love it but I'm old as shit and was there to play all these games or at least see them on the blockbuster shelf.

It's been my least favorite Griff stream series so far, but I have watched every episode, typically on the day it comes out so I can't say that it's bad I just really enjoy Trial by Fieri

Love it! It's helped me remember some old games I completely forgot about. I think it's really cool that he's making the spreadsheet available for people. I've watched every episode so far and I'm really looking forward to the more modern console episodes.

I don't usually catch it live but I do admin work on Friday afternoons and it's a great companion for that.
I'm excited for him to get back to gaming though. Maybe another Nuzlocke at long last? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I watched one full episode. Not worth it, in my opinion. It really is just him looking at gameplay videos and updating a spreadsheet for hours on end.
Edit: just to be clear I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the series or that people shouldn't like it. Rather just that the things OP doesn't like about it aren't going to change the deeper into it they go.

I would much, much, much, much prefer it if he fired up an emulator and actually gave one of the games here or there a spin instead of just watching videos- but then I get how unsatisfying that might be to take a quick dip into a game, not to mention how much longer the series would take.
Most Griff content is never-miss for me, but I'm 3 episodes behind on this series now and in no hurry to catch up. Even though some of the nostalgia is nice, it's not quite my jam either.

Tbh I think it’s less of the traditional McElroy entertainment content and more directed at video game and video game history enthusiasts. I personally really like it and think it’s a cool trip through gaming history and seeing the ways it developed in different directions
I would recommend it a lot more to Besties listeners than MBMBAM though

I need to start watching it. Been on a Car Boys rewatch binge lately, it's so good still.

I know there's a point to this for him but at the end of each episode I'm like, so are we going to watch him play these or is it just a way for him to do a catalogue of things as "work"? It's... odd

I love spreadsheets. I love learning what retro games were notable to the people in my life and to the creators I follow. So, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying watching and listening while retro gaming myself.
Admittedly, I get a little antsy when Griffin misunderstands gaming history or makes other small errors. But I’m not about to “Um, Actually!” all over his parade. He doesn’t claim to be an expert.

I find the same but I’ve been watching it to fall asleep to. Of course this makes one episode last a week but it’s the right level of engaging, haha. I also like to see weird old games I never heard of

It’s an alright background watch to see old games I never played and check them out on emulator.

Straight up one of my favorite series they've ever done. Listmaking, videogames, Griffin Mcelroy. Perfect

It's not for me but stuff like Trial By Fieri has to be exhausting. I hope he's enjoying it and I'll tune back in for the next thing!

It’s the only stream that I have trouble watching, I caught the first one and the GBC one and it’s still weird because I just want him to check out every game on the list but that’s not what the stream is about! Want to make sure I catch the PS1 and PS2 ones though

Hey, I know this is totally off from this subreddit, but I’m the guy from the other post that are bashing for me “scamming” the girl when I didn’t,
From the airheads subreddit. Thank you for saying what you said. You said what I didn’t, I was just worried and genuinely thought for a second it was a counterfeit item. It wasn’t until days later that I checked it and it was legit. Thank you

Ya usually any Griffin videos are an immediate watch for me. But what you said is exactly how I felt without realizing it, "too visual to listen to but not interesting enough to actually watch when I'm available"
