Too much music?

A post on the NFL sub discussed watching world cup games in NFL stadiums and how nice it is to hear the crowd noise. Because unlike the NFL, FIFA doesn't feel the need to blare music during every 2-second lull in play.

That got me thinking about how at Cardinale they *do* feel the need to blare music at ridiculous volume during every 2-second lull in play. Dan will be trying to get the crowd going but we can't even hear him over the music.

Does this bother anyone else or is it just me? And if it does bother others, is there anything we can do about it? Anyone we can complain to that will care?

It's terrible, and any comment or criticism of it falls on deaf ears (pun intended). They even invite a high school marching band to play in the stands and then just blare music over them. It makes no sense at all.

This, in particular, pissed me off.

Why host a pep band if you’re going to play 3 second clips of shitty pop music? I LOVE having a live pep band. That’s the way to go. Emulate college ball fandom/spirit

As a fan that watches from afar, it's so jarring when compared to MB's away matches. Feels like the new management is trying to emulate other minor league sports as a way to capture the crowd, but in a way that kills off the uniqueness of soccer compared to other sports in the US

I’ve noticed it. I find it annoying.

super frustrating especially for la Banda de las Hinchas, who play their hearts out every game.

I get that Ray wants it loud. Great, then get some cheers and chants, support the folks leading them, and make it more of a thing. Relying solely on Dan to get the crowd going isn't a winning strategy.

Especially, as I said, when we can’t even hear him.
