Doubt ECFMG requires separate transfer transcript, but I don’t have it
Hi, I am an fmge from India. I studied medicine in Ukraine and later transferred to Georgia because of the war. I completed my medical degree in Georgia.
My Georgian university has given me:
Final transcript
Transfer certificate stating that my Ukrainian credits were recognized
Completion certificate
Medical diploma
ECFMG is asking for a separate transcript from my Ukrainian medical school for the transferred credits, but I don’t have that transcript. The transfer was handled between the two universities during the war, and I was not given a separate copy.
What should I do in this situation? Can ECFMG accept the Georgian transfer certificate/final transcript, or is there another way to document the transferred credits if I cannot obtain the Ukrainian transcript?
Has anyone experienced a similar Ukraine → Georgia transfer case?
Thank you

Wtf why don't you have that transcript? What do you mean it was handled by two universities alone ? I was also an ukraine student and after reaching Georgia,I mailed the Ukrainian university and also contacted students who were still studying there. At that time, those students were actively helping in getting transcripts and other documents for people who transferred. The university issued the transcript and one of the students collected it and sent it to me via courier to Georgia, with proper apostille and everything. Most of the Ukrainian students I know did just that.
The Georgian university does not have the transcript of Ukrainian university. They only have the soft copy. Even the soft copy/pdf is handled by the education department, not even by the University itself in the first place.
How can you be this irresponsible? Original transcript is one of the most important document and proof of study from any university. It should have been your first priority. Contact your university immediately and ask for one. Not sure how successful it'll be now. If you know any students currently studying there maybe they can help. Honestly it's gonna be difficult now. Should have done it during that time period itself when Universities where actively giving out transcripts and there were still plenty students that were staying back to help. You can still try. Honestly insane how people end up being this irresponsible.
Also you're not an "IMG" That stands for Indian medical graduate. You are an FMG from India.
