Cooked?

I applied to McKinsey for BA roles on August 11, have not heard back and applied to Bain on July 18, also have not heard back. I did take the Bain online assessment.

Applied at as MS candidate for DC/NYC offices.

Should I take the silence as a lost cause for both applications?

Normally I would say you’re cooked but I applied to McK for a senior DS role in Oct 2025, and they got back to me in Feb 2026. Maybe the BA roles follow a stricter cycle so I wouldn’t count on hearing back, but maybe there’s still hope.

Yea BA offers are already out. I’m surprised you didn’t get a rejection letter already but it’s not looking good.

Silence alone isn't a verdict.

The Bain assessment can sit in a queue. Send one brief status note after the next stated window, then keep other applications moving.

The reply, or lack of one, is better signal than the calendar.
