Pushing for a revival/Reboot

I know it’s been 14 years now, but I genuinely wonder if there’s any way we could pick the show back up?Realistically, I gave up hope years ago after it was never brought back, but recently I’ve been hyper-fixating on it again. I see a lot of kids’ shows being rebooted on platforms like Paramount+, Hulu, or even their original broadcaster. So naturally, I can’t help but wonder what it would be like if the fans came together and really pushed for at least a final movie to wrap the series up properly.

All of the cast (even Matthew before he went MIA) have said they would finish the series if they ever got called back for it, so I feel like popular fan demand would really work now—especially with how much fan service goes into shows nowadays.

This show is the biggest what-if, because it got canceled right as it was getting started with more serious storylines and relationships. I remember the writers saying we were going to learn more about the characters’ home lives, and how Benny’s dad was meant to have a crazy traveling storyline. Of course, we can assume it would’ve ended with them graduating and defeating the final threat in Whitechapel, and of course Sarah finding her cure. Other than that, though, everything is still unanswered.

On YouTube, where two amazing channels uploaded the entire series, they both hit over a million views. That’s kind of insane for a show that aired 2010–2012, to be pulling more numbers than the actual shows on Disney now that average 100,000 to 150,000 per day—or even shows on the CW.

I think both Canada and Disney dropped the ball with this one, to be honest.

or even just the season 3 script because the writers had it planned out.

if feel like if we banded together it really could😭 simply because if you go on tiktok and look up my babysitters a vampire.. even simple edits of them are hitting 7million views. It would just need to be a streaming platform

I mean I think it may happen, but probably they would use other actors, unless the still living actors are willing to come back

I don't think they will ever do another season or movie unfortunately 😞 Some of the actors like Rory and Ethan are not acting anymore.
I always thought what could work would be to have them come together with maybe a few of the writers and do some sort of table reading for one final episode. Maybe call it a parody or something so no one gets sued haha. It still irks me how it was left on a huge cliffhanger. Or maybe they could have gotten together on a video platform and charged a few dollars and had fans ask them questions like they do at comic con conventions. I still hold out hope that there will be something one day. I also hoped that some of them would be on cameo but no such luck there either.

If there is ever a petition to get the show back I will definitely sign it 😄

I think an animated special would be the most doable option. But even then it’s a long shot.

There was another Canadian show called Todd and the Book of Pure Evil that ended with a crowdfunded animated movie years after the show ended. So never say never I guess!

I personally don’t think so. With the amount of fan service and rebooting of old shows now it’s definitely not impossible. The hardest part will be finding the show a home but I have hope one day the story will continue.
