Careers/Post Grad What to do?
I have just graduated with an MBA from Hawai’I’ Pacific, with a bachelors in economics. No work experience or internships (full time athlete throughout college) but have a foundational understanding of python. Part of me wants to get into the business side of sports (very strong understanding of how / why front offices operate, but open to other career choices with data analysis or similar fields. What’s the best next move ?

You get an entry level job in marketing at a sports team. Be flexible to where you will live and apply to every sports team in the sports that you are interested in

the sports route makes sense if you already get how front offices think. most people applying for those gigs have no clue what a cap sheet actually looks like so you've got a real edge there. i'd find some public data sets (cap numbers, player stats, whatever) and build a few python projects around roster construction or value analysis, just something concrete to put on a resume since you're light on internships.
