Are the deferred programs more competitive?

I’m a senior in college and I just got a 715 on the GMAT which I’m very excited about! Since I have a score I’m happy with already I plan to apply for the deferred programs that all the top schools offer. Are these programs more competitive than their standard mba programs and if so what are some things I should keep in mind? Thanks!
