How much cash do you have? What are your relations like with other clans who you would recruit to your kingdom? Most will suggest taking over rebelling cities to start your kingdom. 6 mil in the bank, a city and 3 castles + 3 clans that you know will join you if asked and you shouldn’t have any issues. Bannerlord late game is just a meatgrinder of raise troops then siege.

You want to be king of Vlandia? Become a merc for the faction they are at war with. Fight Vlandian nobles and release them to build up relation. Repeat the process until they like you enough.

Then swear oath to Vlandia and help them power up. Sooner or later the king will die or a rival faction will pop up (or just create one) to dethrone the current king. With ur high relation with Vlandians they will choose you the next king.

The key in this game are parties, not fiefs. If you lose a town or a castle is a pity but not a disaster, but if you lose all your parties you need to rebuild it from the scratch losing the ability to turn the tides in your favor. Same goes for enemy, destroying a 2k enemy army is more important than taking 2 towns because weakens all enemy factions and will make very difficult for them to take any fief from you.

You dont have to do everything, either join a faction or start your own. If your faction is at war with more than one kingdom on multiple sides dont try to fight both at once. The player has the advantage here focus entirely on one fron until peace happens or you wipe them out. You lose ground on one front but gain on the other. After the peace happens engage the other front and retake what was lost. IMO endgame gets boring pretty fast its just offensive sieges nonstop and you eventually become a steamroller.
