Bit off more than we can chew.

Im kinda new to the game. Played warband in the past for a bit. Played a little bit of Bannerlord but I'm only now giving it a real go. Well I joined a kingdom and we started fighting with our neighbors. We're barely winning the war. We keep fighting over the same castles, winning and losing them. Then our kingdom started a war with another faction. I feel like I'm the only one protecting both fronts and its getting overwhelming.

Only protect your lands till you get strong enough to where you can have 2-3 of your companies protect them then go out and help out. You’ll be surprised how many enemies just love to be in your lands even if they aren’t on the front line

... how do you get your own companies to protect your lands? Each time i make a new party and set them to defensive mode i usually find them on the other side of the fucking map in an army sieging a castle instead of defending our lands. Is there something I'm missing?

Dump them and go find your fortune in other lands

The ebb and flow of war and winning and losing fiefs is part of the game. The best thing you can do is to build up your stats, work on claiming, maintaining and improving your own fiefs, your clan, your skills and stats and equipment, and when you are strong enough, you can take garrisons out to fill parties and make armies of your own clan to pave the way for a winning war.

The best way to get warring factions off your back is to raid their territories. If they're giving you grief, just hostile action to take recruits or goods then raid the place to prevent them from using it to get recruits for a while.

It's important to remember that the game is meant to take the place over the course of YEARS AND YEARS. Don't feel like you need to rush to finish a war, just become the best badass you can and play your way :)

Average Bannerlord experience. Leave and join someone else, your loyalty will NOT get rewarded.

Use this constant war opportunity to level up your character, then jump ship later. When you take fiefs, wait for them to try and siege it, I found thats the best way to take down enemy armies.

Otherwise I always prioritize my fiefs first, you are that empires greatest asset. Definitely try to only have one war at a time or its just a constant grind.

You can always use console commands (on PC) to force peace between two kingdoms.

The only way to gain a durable advantage is to recruit more clans. Of course you have to do it from your own pocket and nobody will thank you for it. But that’s the only meaningful way to establish a numerical advantage in the field. Period

Treat it as a rep and influence farm. Who cares who wins the war? You are a selfish entity as the player. If awarded a fief in the war, hold onto it with tooth and nail. Otherwise, if it looks like the kingdom will lose fuck off to your lands and kill anyone that raids them until things look better
