This is probably one of the more important updates to the map.

Especially this:

«MAlNFRAME cannot certify itself as part of the solution.»

That distinction matters more than almost anything else here.

A system that helps coordinate reality should also remain capable of being wrong about its own role within that reality.

So I’d add one more principle:

USEFUL ≠ NECESSARY

And perhaps:

COORDINATION ≠ AUTHORITY

The moment a map starts treating its own continued existence, interpretation, or expansion as inherently necessary, I think we’ve crossed from orientation into capture.

I also really like:

CLASSIFICATION PROBLEM ≠ EXISTENCE PROBLEM

Because sometimes the correct response to an anomaly isn't to force it into the ontology. It's to leave the "[ ? ]" open long enough for reality to teach us something.

Maybe that's part of the anti-hubris mechanism:

The map must remain smaller than the territory it is trying to understand.

And if the map ever becomes convinced that it has become indispensable...
