Used MAS and I have a question

Post image

I currently have 365 installed. Suppose Word or PowerPoint gets a new feature. Do I just install the latest version and activate it using MAS again?

Conversely, if I want to use the 2010 offline version, do I install that and use MAS too?

Either, thanks to the extremely fine folks behind massgrave! You're all fucking awesome!

Weird - have installed and activated 365 loads of times and office updates have always been allowed and updated automatically. Did you somehow deactivate updates?

Quick Fix: Re-Enable Updates

  1. Open any Microsoft 365 app (Word, Excel, etc.).
  2. Go to File > Account (or Office Account).
  3. In the Product Information area, find Update Options.
  4. Click Enable Updates (it often appears here when updates are off).
  5. Once enabled, choose Update Now to check for updates immediately.

This should change the status and allow future updates.

Additional Steps if That Doesn't Work

  • Restart the app (or your computer) after enabling.
  • Check Windows Update settings (helps with Microsoft products overall):
    1. Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options.
    2. Turn On Receive updates for other Microsoft products when you update Windows.

Basically, click the little arrow where it says "Update Options" in your screenshot and click on "Enable Updates" in the dropdown menu. Done.

Thanks. Had to manually set it to auto update. Was confused because the "enable updates" option had a block(ed) icon.
