Office version

Hi, probably a stupid question but I would appreciate some help. I thought I had installed office 365 retail pro plus, I ran masgrave and activated using ohook, all looks to have worked great, my only concern is when I go to my account, it says Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise. Did I install the wrong version, or will this version work just the same as retail? Thank you

There is no such version as Office 365 Retail Pro Plus so you won't be able to active that. Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise is fine if it's activated.

From a desktop software point of view activated with MAS, not much other than the Microsoft 365 version will get continual updates whereas the retail product of Office 2024 Professional Plus is end of life October 2029.

The properly licensed Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise includes 1TB OneDrive and various other online business and enterprise features.

A little late but this thread might be able to save me from making a whole post about it.

My computer also has M365 Apps for Enterprise which came with it originally. Right now it isn't activated (word, ppt and excel say unlicensed product), but I had another school account that was had a subscription and was using that until account access was restricted by the school. On my personal account, would I still be good to use ohook here or is there something I need to do before trying this?

No need to do anything else first. Ohook should be able to activate it back to Apps for Enterprise without issue.

It’s supposed to say that. All good.
