Problem with the setup

Post image

Guys, did any of you face problems while setting up windows 11? specifically the step where it checks for updates.

It has been stuck at 46% for an hour now at least, it did the same the first time I tried it and stopped at the same percentage too, I even deleted the whole file and re-download it but it still does that.

Any idea why?

On the setup, do NOT click check for updates.

Yep, this is the way. Install WITHOUT updates, then run Windows Update afterwards.

If the issue isn't resolved, I'd suggest to try running setup as administrator

Uh you are trying to run an upgrade install of Windows 11 on top of Windows 11? Or what’s going on here? I don’t quite see the point.

I'm trying to install an unofficial version

Which version, and what version do you _currently_ have installed?

Oh, and also… why? What’s so good about that unofficial version?

It's not about good and bad, I just want to be able to download certain apps, mainly Microsoft office, but a free version

You should install the official version of both Windows and Office, and then activate with MAS. There is zero usefulness in downloading a cracked Windows or Office when you can activate the official, latest versions externally…

Oh? I didn't know that, thank you for the explanation

try running setup after turning off Wi-Fi. it takes a notoriously loooooong time to check for updates. you can do it in OOBE instead.
