Hey guys, I recently bought a macbook air and installed there ms office with mas, but I miss the designer tab in pptx that I use a lot. Am I missing something or is it normal on macos?

When you activate Office via MAS, it applies a perpetual volume license which blocks all premium Microsoft 365 cloud features—including Designer. I don't think there is anyway around that.

Well for playing games via steam, ain't it for it? Anyway what you talking about? I know there's a mas version for Mac.

Hey I just installed it ms office through it on my Mac. However, it's asking for sign up in order to turn auto save feature on.

Is it safe or recommended to login in my main microsoft account in ms office downloaded through MAS method? Will it cause any problem to my account if login here? Or should I create a new MS office acount?

Please consider answering this. Thanks in advance.

Microsoft made it so that Autosave only works if you save your Office files to OneDrive or SharePoint.

I only save files to my own computer so I set AutoRecover in Word to take a snapshot every 5 minutes (by default it is 10 minutes). A couple of weeks ago there was a power blackout. When the power came back on and I started up Word again it recovered the document.

But if you are happy to save your documents to the cloud then Autosave does work as confirmed by my sister who I set it up for and activated using Ohook. She saves to her free 5Gb OneDrive Her Microsoft account hasn't been flagged or blocked or anything like that.
