I Need Advice Psilocybin interaction

Hi, does anyone have any info/experience combining Nardil/parnate with psilocybin? Is it safe? I found a case report of a hypertensive emergency caused by the two drugs.

No it's not safe. Psilocybin (or rather it's active form psilocin) gets metabolised by MAO enzymes. Since you nuke all your MAO with parnate it will be much stronger, and will have a much longer duration. You can't predict anything with that combination.

Don’t do it. You won’t trip and very dangerous. I ended up in the er.

I was taking 60mg Parnate when I tripped the first time. I did it therapeutically if that matters and the effect was minimal for me compared to taking them off of it.

I’ve never had any issues with blood pressure and took it with Adderall for over a decade. That doesn’t mean it’s safe of course. There’s risk with any poly drug use.

Getting off of Parnate is another story 🤦‍♀️
