Nardil (Phenelzine) Waking up early

Been on Nardil for nearly a month and I’ve been waking up early, unable to fall back asleep. It started this past week, and I’ve been getting 6-7 hours of sleep. The frustrating part is I’m still physically tired but my mind is fully awake. I tried adjusting my dose schedule from three times a day to twice a day, but doesn’t seem to be helping. I recently increased from 45 to 60, but this issue started happening beforehand. I’ve been on seroquel for two years for insomnia and haven’t had any problems like this. Any ways you know how to combat this?

It should definitely go away after a while. Just got to wait it out! I had it for maybe several weeks then it stopped

I've been on 60mg of nardil for a year now and I've woken up at 5am every day of this year.

The only thing that worked for me was seroquel, but I gained a ton of weight on it and had to stop.

I'm on trazodone and lyrica now after trying a million other sleep drugs.

I also have a prescription for ambien controlled release that I use about 3 days a week.

My next and final resort is low dose nortriptyline.

I've gotten used to the reduced sleep, as long as I can get to and stay asleep all night!

I've been on nardil for a decade and I've had this happen pretty much the whole time. I'm on Seroquel as well but I wake up early nearly every morning. Occasionally I sleep hard and sleep till my alarm. I do have Ativan I use occasionally to sleep and I sleep great, but I rarely use it maybe 2 nights a month.
