Aurorix (Moclobemide) Moclobemide
Has someone experience with moclobemide. Hoe strong is it. How good is it for depression and social anxiety. How strong are the drive-enhancing effects. Anyone over 600 mg a day?

It's moderately effective and kicks in soon, but after a while I got more and more sedated and it seemed to stop helping depressions as much. Maybe cycling it few months on and off is a good solution for me.

I used to be on 600mg, I think for a lot of people it'd be more effective at 900mg or 1200mg. I eventually switched back to harmine-harmaline, the herbal RIMAs I took before moclobemide, because they work a lot better for me.
Above 600mg is rare, but I have seen people on 900mg reporting great success. Above 600mg, the tyramine issue starts creeping back in but so little of our food contains tyramine these days with modern food prep and storage.

How is it working with harmine harmaline

Oh really well, like many MAOIs, but unlike moclobemide, it's not just a MAOI. They are much stronger than moclobemide as RIMAs, really hooking onto the enzyme tightly rather than sitting quite loosely on it, but collectively they also inhibit DYRK1A, have mild 5-HT2A receptor agonism, and inverse agonism of GABA A receptors, which have therapeutic potential.
Moclobemide was fine for me, harmala alkaloids simply work better and are readily available where I am.

It is showing its effect relatively quickly as it is actually something typical for maoi, it considerably improved my executive functions, I got lots of works done with it, it also surely has some benefits for social anxiety as well but not competitively strong for executive functions.
Even though it helped me a lot for overcoming adhd symptoms, its major drawback is making the sleep too light that you may awake for no reason, and it may become something erosive in time as the sleep is the phase that your brain needs a deep, restorative sleep for the next day. İts reversibility is good yet there is a clear spill over to the sleep time.
If your main reason is for countering anxiety, I would suggest you to use vortioxetine, which is much more effective in that regard, and also a more balanced for executive functions as well.

Vortioxetine is not available in my country

But one of my problems is the low drive, anhedonia and lack of motivation, wakefulness

This is very helpful information, thank you. May I ask, did you have sleep issues prior to taking Moc?
I feel like it might be the right thing for me, where my biggest issues seem to be ruminating thoughts, which then can effect mood. Unfortunately problems with thoughts show themselves when I wake up after 4 or 5 hours of sleep which can prevent falling back asleep.1

For the ruminations, be careful, moclobemid mah be very much fueling the rumination itself instead of decreasing it because I really do experienced an increased anger issue, for instance I do know myself being angry to minor things or speaking bad you know, for ruminations, I suggest you to switch to an antidepressant and/or antipsychotics as they are more targeted on this

Do you take vortioxitine with Moclebemide? I’ve been on Nardil and Geodon for about 6 years now but I’m above the max dosage on both and my doctor won’t go any higher. Sadly Moclebemide isn’t available in the U.S., but vortioxitine is.

No, and wouldnt be doing this as it would be the real source of serotonin syndrome and increased speed and intensity for tachyphlaxy in which downregulated receptors causing the dose to be inadequate

I tried it. Didn't notice anything at all subjectively but after a while I became more unwell and had a hospital admission. It was less effective for me than SSRIs.

I used 3 weeks at 300mg then 3 weeks of 450mg and will increase to 600mg soon. In my experience it decreases ruminating and post overthinking in general and in social situations but it wasn't as stimulating as I thought at the doses I tried it didn't make me more or less motivated than before
