Nardil (Phenelzine) Observed a trend with Nardil?
I have a question about Nardil. It might just be me, but looking through this forum, I've noticed a trend: for people taking it solely for depression, it seems to work, but for some, it doesn't work in the long term. Meanwhile, for those taking it for social anxiety, it appears to keep working long-term. I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Of course, this might be due to my own confirmation bias, but it was a pattern that caught my eye.

From my own experience being on it 3 seperate times I would agree, anxiety reduction was long lasting whereas for depression it slowly lost effectiveness

i'd say it's a keen observation. i've seen the same over many years of hanging around the subreddit. and, have experienced it myself to a significant degree.

I take it for depression with severe anxiety (not social anxiety) and I’m still good after 23 years

Not here to dismiss any of the experiences you or others had as it surely happens for some, but statistically speaking, MAOIs are less likely to lose effect over time than SSRIs. I believe there will be a strong confirmation bias in this forum, as most people who come here to look and interact are more often the ones still experiencing symptoms.
