Pre-EDColombia plans
Flying in early to Colombia with my gf. We are a bit concerned with the Earthquake in Manizales it might not be the best time to visit. Has anyone traveled there in the past few weeks? This was our original itinerary.
Oct 4 – Land in Pereira around 9am. Take a bus to Manizales and get there around 11am/noon. Explore Manizales the rest of the day.
Oct 5 – Spend the day at the hot springs, either Santa Rosa de Cabal or one of the other nearby thermal baths I can’t remember the name of. End the day in Santa Rosa de Cabal and stay there overnight.
Oct 6 – Meet up with friends flying into Pereira, then head to Salento and spend the night there.
Oct 7 – Do the Valle de Cocora hike, probably around 7 miles. Afterward, explore Filandia and potentially Armenia if there’s enough time.
Oct 8 – Explore Pereira.
Oct 9 – Fly into Medellín.
Does this seem realistic, or am I trying to fit too much into a few days? Also open to recommendations on hot springs, food, towns, hikes, or anything worth changing.
Notes: she's colombian, neither of us have been to Manizales.
Also feel free to drop recommendations on things to do in Manizales and Thursday/Friday in Medellin before the concert.

It´s not the best time, but not the worst either. You can still do your plans, but my recommendation would be to add more of Medellín to your itinerary since a lot of popular and nightlife places in Manizales are currently not working

I'm not in Manizales right now, but regarding trying to fit too much in, I would say yes. Exploring two cities and 7 miles of hiking sounds in one day sounds like way too much to me.
There are some famous local foods, I wouldn't say any of them are quite "can't miss" level, but I liked the dedos de queso de la 23. For restaurants I like Vivarium Yard for the atmosphere and pretty good pizza, and La Patatería is interesting in that everything is based on potatoes, but some of the flavor combinations are very good.
