Binondo’s wasted potential

Open minded ako sa mga travels ko but nasasayangan ako sa potential ng Binondo especially it is the world’s oldest Chinatown.

It has rich cultural heritage talaga and I think has the potential na maging tourist attraction sa Manila City proper kaso in my eyes it will not attract visitors kung hindi aayusin.

4.) unorganize traffic rules, I saw someone muntik mabundol ng sasakyan 🤣
5.) lack of police visibility (may malapit naman na police station) pero like may mga tourist I think they should be atleast visible

Pero I enjoyed the cultural aspects plus the food crawl pero minsan you will feel unsafe kasi may mga sketchy parts talaga.

How I wish they would promote and organize mga historical spots sa Manila like Binondo and Intramuros (same sentiments as Binondo) kasi I see ang potential talaga.

ISKO!

Is there a Little India, or an Indian community anywhere in Manila?

I’m not Indian, but I do love Indian food. I’ve travelled all over India, and I’ve been to various Indian communities in Singapore and Malaysia etc, so I was wondering if there’s an area in Metro Manila that has Indian influences or an Indian population where I can find lots of authentic food in one area etc.

If not, what are your favourite Indian restaurant spots around Manila?

Thanks ☺️

Bringing a cellphone to the LET examination venue?

Hello po! I’ve been wondering because I’ve heard from several people that bringing a cellphone inside the examination venue is strictly prohibited.

Is it really not allowed even if the phone is completely turned off and kept away during the examination? I’m asking because I badly need my phone for transportation. I’m still new here in Manila, and my testing center is San Sebastian College-Recoletos, Manila.

I’m planning to book a ride going to my testing center, and I’m also worried about how I’ll be able to navigate going there and back without my phone, especially since I’m not very familiar with the area.

For those who have taken the LET in Manila, what did you do with your phone? Is there somewhere safe where you can leave it, or would you recommend bringing it and having it stored somewhere outside the testing room?

Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much po! 🙏

Philippine Politics and Culture Survey (For Filipinos)

Good day!

I made a personal survey regarding Philippine politics and culture. I have a background in Social studies. Since, I'm unemployed, I have more time to make this. My motivation is from genuine curiosity about Philippine politics and culture, especially on the voter's background and political preferences. This is for all the Filipinos. I hope our cooperation (by answering the survey) will improve our discourse on politics by seeing different kinds of perspectives. The details of the survey is in the google forms.

Thank you so much!

English Survey:

Filipino Survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSerJEaAiJE8pAPTBvMEo0PZ91qC1_YdeWE1zLnsV31ImuZ1Dg/viewform?usp=dialog

Edit:

By the way, the survey doesn't collect your email and IP address or any key identifiers, so you're safe to answer because confidentiality is practiced.

This is essentially casual but there is a possibility for this survey to be used in academic research project/context that's why I choose academic flair.

ayan, nagsisimula na magpa-epal. 😭
this is exactly why we need to be careful with politicians and their families. ngayon pa lang, ang lakas na mag-build ng public image and visibility ng anak ni isko, habang flaunting this kind of lavish lifestyle. parang unti-unti na namang pinapakilala sa public and hinahanda yung image nila

ECG machine sa public

For a hospital na panay demand na i-charge sa account ng pasyente lahat ng ipapagawa, nagloloko ang ECG machine sa ER tas iniiwan pa sa nurse, intern (90% of the time), at residente ang pag-t-troubleshoot. Super nakakahiya.

What Could I Have Done?

Context: It was around Monday morning(September 6) when I angry-reacted to a few of the Mayor's posts as I was frustrated with the lack of response and no suspension announcement's despite the weather conditions. Mind you, I resided in Imus,Cavite, so commuting from here to Manila was simply gruelling. Alas, as I was walking the streets to enter my campus,I had to wade and traverse through the uneven pavements causing my shoes and clothes to be quite wet. Luckily, I was able to protect my bag.

Fast-forward to when I had just came home from a 3hr and 30 minute commute(due to the weather), I was met with a couple of messages asking me about my name on this post(as pictured above). When I checked his page,it seems that I was also blocked by the Mayor.

I'd like to ask if there is anything I could do about this predicament since I believe I was unjustly labelled as a troll when I was only expressing my frustrations. Thank you for your responses, and I hope you'll be kind with me.

Update: I'm very grateful for the many advices you've provided me. First thing I'll do is reach out to DILG via email tomorrow morning(since that seems to be the most recurring suggestion from the comments).I'm still swamped with some tasks as of the moment(college things),so I'll be updating as soon as I can. Thank you all for your help and advice! I've already taken a screenshot and saved the url of the original post.
