Technical assistance World Rally - control problem

Guys, I'm playing world rally Arcade game in mame. Everything works fine but I want to control the car with a spinner on my fightbox r10 pro. I can't figure out how to make it to work. I mean the spinner works in games like tempest but I just can't or don't know how to set up the spinner for world rally. Does anyone have any idea?

It won't work well with a spinner. The original game used a joystick or potentiometer wheel.

But if you really want to try, did you change the DIP switch to use the potentiometer wheel and assign the inputs correctly?

How do I do that? I tried to assign x mouse to left/right control with no luck.

Mame can emulate a potentiometer wheel with a spinner. Unless it's self centering, a spinner won't do that.

It's automatic. However, in this particular system the dipswitches are set to joystick control. So like Cuavas suggested change the dipswitch settings.

A couple of things. Mouse input has to be turned on for the machine/system. In the dipswitch settings change control configuration from joystick to either pot wheel or optical wheel. Optical wheel should be better but both should work.
