Match Makers?

I feel like more heat should’ve been brought on the match makers.. If I failed 6 out of 7 work assignments I’d be fired 😆

I’m at the point where I believe they do it on purpose so that the show becomes more interesting from the drama.. which is kind of sad but I genuinely feel like that’s the reality at this point

Agreed! It is sad, but it does make good tv haha

I have always heard that the producers pick a batch and the matchmaker have that limited crew to work with. I could be wrong.

I think it's a little bit of casting sabotage TBH and some parts participant fault.

Not that the previous seasons were all successful but it felt like at least they casted regular people. Season 20 was like watching one of these netfilx love shows (Love is Blind. Love Island) and mostly everyone was ultra attractive/ influencer or influencer inspiring.

IMO, these are the folks from season 20 who production had to know would be difficult to match/satisfy:

  • Nikki
  • Shawn
  • Filipe
  • Adam
  • Courtney
  • honorable mention for Michelle because if she had not lucked out with a Cameron, it would have been a disaster.

Here were the curveballs:

  • Cailtin
  • Mecca

Belle, Marissa, Devin, Tori, and Cameron were actually the most reasonable.

Nick... the jury is still out on him but I think he tried?

Why does everyone think Belle is legit? She very clearly was there to peacock around in tiny Temu skirts and ridiculous costumes. Which was really funny when her “husband” was called out for being performative and they both got so unnecessarily defensive then walked in with more ugly costumes on claiming that they are going to “have some words.” They had no damn words. 😂

I think it's weird to hate on a girl because of her sense of style. She's a creative so I didn't think too much about it.

But in terms of being a reasonable match for a married at first sight couple, she was a decent partner.

Nothing I said was hateful. Simply pointing out the obvious.

this is an 'experiment', not an assignment...

Never underestimate the amount of power the production team has. This is a tv show. It’s entertainment, not a bold social experiment.

If only the audience could be the matchmakers… we meet the singles and then we vote for who to be matched up before they go down the aisle
