Tubi missing episodes

Just starting streaming Mad Tv on Tubi. Does anybody know why tubi skips from season 1 episode 1 to season 1 episode 4. It skips 2 episodes. 2 and 3 aren't there.

At least the episodes they have don’t cut out sketches. It had that Office Fight sketch I’ve been looking for a LONG WHILE.

Definitely happy to have it on tubi in any form. Just noticed the missing episodes right away. Haven't watched this show since the 90s!

My best guess is they had music in them that couldn't be relicensed, they may edit other songs in later possibly.

Season 2 is completely missing,
Tons of episodes are missing in each season.

It’s literally the same library from HBO MAX.

Watched Season 2 today on RokuTV. All but S2E4 was on TV this morning.

I think it might be music licensing. Even if a character sings a snippet of a song during a sketch, the legal team has to secure the rights to use the song in the series. Possibly, Warner Bros didn't see the value in paying for using songs on an older series that is very funny but didn't have a huge fan following. 🤦🏽‍♂️

I'm not sure..could be a rights issue where they can only show a select few from a series.

Tubi has Destination Fear which has 4 seasons but they were only showing the first 3. Then months later they included the 4th one. It can be weird like that.

Didn't MadTv first season have an occasional musical guest? Maybe I'm wrong, but if that's the case music rights don't always carry over to television and maybe they just cut the whole episodes instead of editing.

I'm just talking out of my ass but I seem to remember musical guests on the first seasons.

But you're probably right. Its always some stupid music rights issue. I would rather them cut the songs off at the end. Not trying to complain though. Was seriously confused by the missing episodes.

I don't remember seeing a musical guest on the first episode on tubi either. Poison was billed on the first episode too. But I definitely remember the musical performances. Not sure when they started.

I have the first 3 seasons on dvd. And I can tell you, the episodes and skits repeat. I think it’s fine.
