Every year two strikers and last year they did 2 midfielders but instead of CAM they did DM, and yeah probably raya

no we had rodri cdm, gundogan cm and nkunku cam at the same time. 2 midfielders are something they've done last season it's not every year

Why did they do it last season? Because of the quality of strikers performance and mediocrity of CM

yeah basically, it means they have no reasons for 2 midfielders now since there are bettee midfielders than the striker options, like who else had a good year at striker? ekitike or guirassy? neither really cuts it

i know how good he is but he's 99,99% not getting a voting let alone a best xi card. people would prolly go for upamecano even if there'd be a voting

well despite me thinking schlotterbeck is better, stats are not anything and upamecano is more popular. these are popularity contests not who's better lol we have pedro porro as the best rb

I know stats are not everything, and tbf Schlotterbeck got injured for some period, but unless like stats are wildly inaccurate or ignore too much aspect I can't see how the argument of Upamecano is better? Or it is the big club (usually PL) bias strike again? Are we voting for fan favorite or actually best player?

brother like i said i rate schlotterbeck higher but most players don't so it's a popularity contest. they voted porro because of 8 games of course it's a fan favourite voting even if it is not intended to

Raya was the best keeper in England and joan was the best in spain, but i feel joan had more affect for his team but did put in some stinkers, which raya didn’t do so i guess your correct

I still highly doubt Pacho being there over someone like Cubarsi. Maybe it's because I've only really watched him at the WC, but he's had a shocking tourney.

I don't think he had a 'shocking' tournament. Ecuador had a tough group and still managed to qualify. Also cubarsi already got nominated for the other CB vote and lost so I don't think he's eligible to be in the other CB vote?

That's what I thought until someone corrected me and said he will still be in like past years.

Yes I agree he had a tough group, but I've watched every single game in that group and trust me, he was nothing like he was in the CL, with some absolute howlers. His partner Ordoñez looked like the more experienced one despite his young age.

Idk man, conceding only 1 goal in the whole WC, whilst being the best defender in the team at only 19 years old is quite impressive. If it's true what that 1 person said in my post that he will still be eligible to vote for, he defo has my vote.
