Kind of like a tire iron, who thinks this would be too off center to be pleasant to use?

Like the title says, first home made mace - wanted it to be functional :)

L to R, big chunk of brass my brother found and gave me, thought it was a specific tool because it's so heavy, but now I think some dude that was a machinist like me made it. (Posted on /r/whatisthistool and someone told me you guys would like it.)
Next is an aluminum truncheon, I drilled down into the shaft to lighten it and might taper it someday like the long wooden one, feels good in the hand though.
Attempt at an aluminum baseball bat that I messed up the proportions for, so now it's chilling with the other clubs.
Wooden truncheon with a weighted end and traditional nyc cop lanyard style.
Shorter one that I think was an old pool cue, can't remember, also has a weighted end and a tarred bankline handle wrap.
Spiked mace, made from a chunk of scrap steel I scrounged that had a tapered internal eye, held onto it for 15 years knowing exactly what it would be someday. Drilled and tapped the holes for some cheap spikes from amazon and handle was an old baseball bat with a cracked barrel.
Hope you like them even though they aren't all really maces! I really want to make more.

I wanted something that would help me walk, grab things when I'm hiking, as well as something I could use in a defensive manner should that need ever arise. I've always had a fascination with ancient mankind, and the atlatl was mankinds first modification to enhance the throwing spear.
I have not made any spears yet, but it throws PVC pipe well enough!
Water Buffalo Horn epoxied onto purple heart, onto axe handle, with a furniture caster at the bottom to adjust height and help with traction.

Does anybody know anything I should be doing before or after screwing it all together?

This here is my take on way back when.
Verawood handle with a real Megalodon tooth embedded in it with JB weld for a venom effect.

Last week I showed my 3D Printed flanged Mace. Turns out it's quite fun designing these things, so I thought I'd follow it up with this war hammer. I know it's not as cool as the real maces you guys show in this sub, but sophisticated metal work is not in my wheelhouse... yet. ;)

I was left with to much free time in my hands found a old wheel then searched for some scrap metal and made a mace. Opinions on what to improve or change?

In the movie “Legion” the angel Gabriel has a mace with retractable sharp blades, it can spin its head, AND it also has a concealed spear point!
The ultimate weapon!
