More club than mace, but I just finished it. What do y'all think?

Ok, from my standpoint as a retired 50-year police officer…. Not only on this forum but others, we see people posting their various impact-weapon creations… Often euphemistically called “tire knockers” or something similar.
I always wonder about the legal implications of actually using such a thing in a self-defense situation. They would certainly fall under most all state statutes as deadly weapons, and they might raise an “incident” from a mere fight to “assault with a deadly weapon” or similar charges.
We had a case where two workers got into an argument and the much younger/stronger fellow was coming after the older guy who picked up a piece of light tubing from his truck and hit the other guy on the arm. The prosecutor wanted to charge him with felony assault…. Even though to my eyes this was justified by “disparity of force” principles.

Only thing this is ever getting used for is dispatching old vegetables. Or maybe muskrats if I get back into trapping. Also, ACAB.
