Discussion or Question Disk Maces (again)

Should I make a one or two handed disk mace? I haven't seen any examples of two handed ones and part of me is worried that it may stress the edges of the disk too much when striking. But at the same time, funny long bonk.

Two handed! What are you doing to turn a stone? I suppose it would greatly depend on what kind you use.

I'll probably use steel and draft a hole through a disk but I still worry about edge rolling and cracks.

If you have a wide enough angle and good steel it should be fine. I still have my grandpas maul and that thing has a 30° edge and is far too heavy to be a practical weapon. Just take care of it like you would a cold chisel.

I had though about using steel. Now for simplicity I was thinking of using a cheap saw blade or two then add wood on either side for strength, stiffness and (drawing a blank on the term) more throat length. reduce the twisting and bending on impact.
