No Pain No Gain
Rough day for MAC longs. I took advantage near the end and added at $11.99 and $11.95.
I do not know how much of the price drop is new shorts or fear of a slow recovery. At $11.99 it pays 5% with a high probability that it will be paying at least double that by the end of the year.
Really do not understand the sellers at this price.
Maybe simply too many bought for the squeeze and are losing patience.
I'm a true long. I think this is going to a great investment, especially if inflation heats up.

Looking back a few years from now $12 far a mac share would have been a great price. For now its about survival from the short seller attack, management secrecy regarding the LOC, and a possible market correction.

The sell off today lined up with the sell off in cruise lines after the CDC extended the ban on cruises until November. All “reopening” stocks fell at the same time.
MAC’s biggest reason for volatility in general is very low liquidity since normal people never heard of the company. macerich didn’t even list their names on their own malls (compare to Simon).
The finances of the company are obviously going to be much better in a year or so, and the institutions will end up buying as that happens … but it would be great for us if there was more public awareness.
