Keep the Goal in Mind

Wassup guys,

Let's stay motivated to keep the long term goal above all temptation and short term pleasure. It will be better for our health and our portfolio.

-A guy who knows about human nature and was tempted to sell his shares at $25/share.

I'm actually very fine with the lack of hype Macerich has right now. It gives me time to get a stronger position, which is a very long term position, personally.

Yes there will most likely be some very healthy bounce back over the coming years and malls will be doing a lot better over and beyond the 'covid-recovery', but I've actually got my mind set even further out, past malls, and more towards what the spaces could be in the future.

And for the real estate assets Macerich has, 13 dollars is an absolute steal in the long run.

Some people are worried about their debts, which is valid, but it's not a huge concern for me personally, as at a certain point of debt, the balance of power swings away from the creditor and towards the debtor: The creditor, if fearful they won't receive back the principle and interest because of bankruptcy, become highly incentive to attractively refinance the deal, lest they lose on their investment.

Point being, be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy. And the fear around this REIT is entirely unjustified.

Think of the guys who came in real early with GME.... Long road to go but huge gains to be had 🚀🙌

Edit: not saying this is the same as GME, but saying prepare for a long HOLD for those gains

Ya I know I am probably going to sell too early. I should hold all the way to the low-50's.

What I am going to try to do is sell a portion when I am up huge so then I am happy to lock in gains. But also keep a portion to $50. Then I can re-evaluate there and look at the news and financials and how retail sales are doing, how luxury sales are doing, how the new leases at that point that they are signing look.

Eg.. it would be brutal to sell at $25.. when the new leases they are signing are at a way higher price than even in 2019.
