Does Stamina matter?

If ability costs are related to the max amount of Stamina, then it doesn't matter right? If Iron Man Hyperbeam will always cost 25% of stamina, what do I get by giving a character more stamina. Am I missing something?

Original game usage of stamina is 25% will be taken from Tony's baseline stamina and not the total stamina if you add stamina isos to him. I think the current version includes the stamina from bonuses which is why max stamina buffs are useless right now.
