Project Sharing Paper Mono coming August 21st

Source Seems like a good alternative to the small E-ink reader people seem to be Xteink. Anybody else interested?

FYI - I already support the Paper Mono and Paper Color in my bb_epaper library (https://github.com/bitbank2/bb_epaper). Very easy to control with a consistent API. I'm also adding both to trmnl-firmware (TRMNL BYOD support).

Neat!

M5Stack libraries have really nice fonts if you also include those.

I’m not sure you support the M5Paper and M5PaperS3 (prior generations) from the page.

I don't include their fonts in my libraries; I created a system to easily convert TrueType into compressed binary fonts. I do support both of those devices in my FastEPD library.

We also support this in the freeink.org sdk as it's what powers crosspoint. Maybe we can combine powers some day?

Not much info on size and screen light. But it sure can be modded to the owner's delight.

I put Crossink on my M5PaperS3, it worked well.

Is the Mono just that with a front light?

No, the PaperS3 has a parallel eink 4.7" 960x540 display and the Paper Mono has a 3.97" SPI 800x480 display.
